7-day (6-night) retreat in Koh Tao, Thailand

This is a unique opportunity in the beautiful Thai island of Koh Tao to learn complete Isha Hatha Yoga practices. You will be provided with all the tools necessary to practice yoga independently at home in your own routine without being dependent on any external source. The instructors are Isha Hatha Yoga certified instructors (who have had nearly 2,000 hours of training). Isha Hatha Yoga is a profound science for allowing the body and mind to reach their peak potential. It is classical hatha yoga in its purest form, which is taught in a non-competitive environment.

PRACTICE 1: Upa Yoga - relaxation, balance, mobility

PRACTICE 2: Surya Kriya - activate the sun within you

Surya Kriya, the origin of Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation, is a potent yogic practice of tremendous antiquity, designed as a holistic process for health, wellness and complete inner wellbeing. Surya Kriya balances a person’s energies, leading to stability of the body and stillness of the mind. This strong foundation becomes the basis to explore higher dimensions of life. OPTIONAL EXTRA PRACTICE: Bhuta shuddhi – purify the elements within

The basis of all creation, including the physical body, is the group of five elements: earth, water, wind, fire and space. The wellbeing of the body and mind can be established by purifying these five elements within the human system. This short but powerful process can be practiced daily to shape the body into a stepping stone towards one’s ultimate wellbeing. COST: The price ranges from 14,300 THB to 23,300 THB depending on your choice of accommodation.
 
LOCATION
  • The retreat will be held at the Baan Talay Retreat Centre on Koh Tao Island. The resort is a beautiful purpose-built yoga centre on the Southern side of Koh Tao, overlooking the ocean.

  • There will also be free time each day for swimming, snorkelling, sunbathing and exploring the island.
  • All instruction and teachings will be given in English. There will be a maximum of 24 people on this retreat.
TEACHERS

Victoria has been a yoga practitioner since 2008 and a certified Isha Hatha Yoga teacher from 2014. Since then, Victoria has had the pleasure of sharing the profound practices which transformed her life in many countries including Bahrain, Lebanon, Brazil, France, India, Thailand and the United Kingdom. Victoria is dedicated to offering classical yoga in its purest and most potent form for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. She holds the belief that ‘how you are is how your students will perceive what is being offered, and how the yoga practices will impact them’. She dedicates herself to only transmitting yoga in a committed, caring and concerned atmosphere.

FOOD

  •         All food is vegetarian and Thai style
  •         Two wholesome meals served each day (brunch and dinner)
  •         Buffet brunch of fresh and dry fruits and muesli or oatmeal
  •         Dinner is a vegetarian Thai food with fresh vegetables and tofu
  •         Hot teas and herbal drinks served throughout the day
  •         A fresh coconut served as a refreshment during the day
COST & ACCOMMODATION

The cost of the retreat includes accommodation, meals and all yoga classes.  A 2,000 Thai baht deposit is payable to secure a place on the retreat - the booking deadline is January 15th 2018.  The balance can be paid before the retreat starts or on arrival. The cost does not include flights or travel insurance so participants will need to arrange these themselves.
